Sinoma Energy Conservation Ltd. and Turboden Launch Long-Term O&M Services

Recently, Sinoma Energy Conservation Ltd. and Italy’s Turboden S.p.A. officially commenced long-term operation and maintenance (O&M) services as well as spare parts supply for the waste heat recovery (WHR) power plant at Lafarge Emirate Company (LEC) cement facility in the UAE.



Located in Fujairah, UAE, the project is a benchmark cement kiln waste heat recovery power station invested by SMART4POWER (a subsidiary of France’s ENGIE Group), with a net installed capacity of 8MW. Utilizing industrial waste heat from the cement production line, the plant employs advanced Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) technology to generate clean electricity, offering advantages such as high efficiency, stable operation and environmental friendliness. The plant was built by a consortium of Sinoma Energy Conservation Ltd. and Turboden, and its successful development and commercial operation closely align with the investor’s strategic layout in the new energy sector.

Under the memorandum of cooperation signed by both parties, Sinoma Energy Conservation Ltd. and Turboden will form a joint team to provide ten-year integrated full-system O&M services for the power station. Core service contents include:

Preventive maintenance: Scheduled inspections and maintenance of key equipment such as steam turbines and generators according to annual plans.


Smart remote support: Real-time remote technical assistance and rapid fault diagnosis via a dedicated TOS system.


Comprehensive support and training: Full-scope professional training for O&M personnel, complete technical consulting, and reliable spare parts supply.

The successful launch of this long-term O&M service fully demonstrates the high recognition by the owner and relevant partners of Sinoma Energy Conservation Ltd.’s technical strength and full-life-cycle service capability. In the future, the specialized joint O&M will ensure long-term stable operation of the power station, effectively reduce operating costs, further help cut fossil fuel consumption and carbon emissions locally, and contribute to green and low-carbon development in the UAE and the broader Middle East region.
